UFT paraprofessionals are invited to register for the second session of a remote learning series from the UFT Teacher Center designed to explore meaningful strategies for literacy instruction.  These five sessions will take place via Zoom during scheduled Monday professional development time at your school. 

Occupational and physical therapists are invited to drop in for digital "office hours" with Thomas Ayrovainen, the OT/PT chapter leader, and other chapter representatives. This is a chance to raise concerns and get answers to your questions.

The UFT is convening a special Delegate Assembly for delegates to vote on the proposed New York City Employees PPO plan, which would replace the GHI CBP plan for in-service city employees and pre-Medicare-eligible retirees. The UFT will cast its vote in the MLC in accordance with the DA’s vote.

The UFT Speech Improvement Chapter offers a “Speech Survival Class” for new speech teachers, those who joined the Department of Education within the last three years or who are returning after a prolonged absence. The syllabus covers topics that will help registrants understand and manage their roles and responsibilities on the job.

During this clinic, we will discuss the TRS Passport Funds, (i.e., investment options), help you explore your TDA choices at retirement and talk about the required minimum distribution – an annual withdrawal – from your TDA.
